Polaroid photographs.
After building the animal sculptures, I took them out into the natural world, and photographed the unnerving juxtaposition of nature and these unnatural plastic-stuffed animals.
I chose to use polaroid film because each photograph is an original piece and cannot be reproduced.
This exposes the finite aspect of life, the permanence of extinction, and the disposable mindset of a culture that creates so much indestructible waste.
These animals are everywhere.
They are the sad, deformed victims of pollution, development, and climate change.
And soon, even they will be gone.
